V.Ships Leisure, V.Hospitality & MLC 2006

V.Ships Leisure (www.vshipsleisure.com) and its placement agency V.Hospitality (www.vhospitality.net) have announced their MLC compliance for their recruitment and crewing activities.

The use of a certified recruitment and placement agency confirms that the crew placed by the agency are qualified and that the crew agency is not charging its candidates for assisting them in securing employment; it also demonstrates that the crew agency is operated according to established professional standards. Although no impact is expected on the daily operation and placement methodology of V.Hospitality, the MLC compliance will give our clients the assurance that the required points for complying with the law have all been met and that our service levels are the most professional in the industry. The MLC protects seafarers' rights to decent conditions of work, and has been designed to become a global instrument complementing the Conventions of the International Maritime Organization.
